Hi,
Unfortunately, you can’t
There’s a couple suggestions to make that change but they are gathering dust
on a shelf.

Yeah, it’s a reference to a André Pousse, an old French “bad guy” actor, who
said “just because it says ‘Benedictine’ on the john doesn’t mean it is,” about
what’s written in the newspapers

Hi,
“Negatives” (like differences and intersections) are difficult to manage here
(Truth be told, “positives” (merges) are a pain too….)
The solutions I can see (at this early hour…) are a bit complicated:
On BL only:
Solution 1: Make an order. Use ‘Apply Order’ to your WL.
Solution 2: Go to the Buy page. Select your Wanted List on the left then change
to the ‘Wanted Items’ tab (be sure both checkboxes ar ticked). Click ‘Apply.’
Find the store in the list of potential stores. Click on its line (NOT on its
name, but near it). The items that are available in the store will be in green
or yellow, the ones that aren’t will be in black, plus, the available and wanted
quantities will be under the items (as “A/w (W)” where A is available in the
store, w is (Want minus Have), and W is Want).
To then make a WL or modify your WL with that is an exercise left to the reader….
With BrickStore or Rebrickable:
Make a cart in the shop. Download the cart (can be done in BS, for RB, I think
you first need to make a WL with the cart, which is possible from within the
cart). And make a diff with your original WL. Upload the diff.

| Dear all,
I'm looking for somebody who can design/build crane for one of my customers.
First pure static but a working crane is preferred. More information about the
crane can be found on the website www.tetrahedron.tech
I have a budget for this so it doesn't have to be free.
Who is experienced with these builds and can help me with that?
Greetings,
Martin Vos

| Thanks both for replying - and although it's annoying that it's not possible,
I'm also glad I wasn't missing an easy step that was available all along!

| I use the "Part Out" feature to create a wanted list with every part
in a set, then go through my collection and "find" all the parts until
I have enough to build it.
But the Counterparts (items with stickers or images on them already) never get
included in the list. So I have to go to the Bricklist set Inventory and add
them 1 by 1.
There is a tickbox in "part out" for "Extra parts" but not "Counterparts".
Often these parts have the same Part Number as the inventory but with a suffix
"pb001" or similar.
Is it possible to do what I'm wanting?
|
No, there is no way to add Counterparts from a part out. There is no system to
link them to the parts in the Regular inventory and therefore no way to ensure
you don't add duplicate items.
BrickLink should add a separate feature for this specific process. But that would
require new programming... it's not likely.
I would bet it can be done with Brickstore? Perhaps an experienced user can weigh
in.
|
I confirm, you do this and more really easily with BrickStore.
|
As an alternative (although it's more work), here's how I do it: The
sticker sheet is included in the inventory, so I look at that first, and pick
out all the stickered parts from my stock, deleting the to-be-stickered parts
from the wanted list. If I find everything, I also remove the sticker sheet,
if not, it stays there as a reminder to get the missing things later.
You could also manually add the counterparts from the inventory I guess, but
bricklink is notoriously unreliable with stickered counterparts anyway, so I
prefer the safe way...
Happy sorting!
