Welcome to your ice fishing abode! This model is based on the stories
my parents told me of growing up ice-fishing in northern Canada. At a
glance, the structures appear cold and utilitarian, but the warmth and
vibrancy of their memories inspired a translation into this fanciful retreat.
Working within that concept, my aim was to employ a small footprint and fill it with architectural details & homey touches. Of note are the lofted bedroom, and the solarium—a front-row seat to sunrise & sunset.
And, of course, there’s a ski-doo.
