Welcome to the Mountainside castle of the Knights!
The Build
The model is a mountainside castle. In closed state, the castle can
be viewed from every angle, in open state you can peek in tot he every
days of the court.
- Tha tower: at the top level is the treasure room, where the
knights keep their gold any jewels. Below that, you can find
the library, where books of wisdom awaits the lord.
- House: The home of the lord of the castle. There you can find
his bed, warmed by a large firaplace with wood next to it to
keep the fire alive, and his armor.
- Below the house, you can find the grannary with loots of food
and ale, where even a little mouse can be found, and of course
the armoury of the kingts, where you can find every weapon you
might need.
- Prison: In the corner of the castle, there is a small prison,
where the knights keep their captured enemy.
- Gatehouse: With 2 towers defending the gate, the gatehouse
provides entry tot he castle. The gate itself can be planked to
be prepared for siege.
The Minifigures
The set includes a total of 13 minifigs. The set itself can handle
far more minifigures, but 13 is the maximume I could use for the model.
- 2 Armored knights, their helmet and additional armor
distinguish them from the rest of the soldiers.
The Product Idea
Large castles look good on the shelf of every LEGO collector, also
every collector had castle themed sets during their childhood, picking
this theme for my first design was an obvious choice.
I wanted to design a castle which could be open, to get both the
artistic outside of the medieval design, and the play features and
easter eggs in the inside. This also provides more options to display
the castle.
Thank you for your attention, I am looking forward for your feedback!
