Far away from the realm of Lions and Falcons sits an empire in the
desert. This kingdom is protected by a great wall that hosts multiple
tower fortifications. Travelers from all over the world venture here
to trade for rare and unique goods. As you first enter the main
archway, you encounter an open area with market stalls and banners
hanging above. Surrounding this open space are the scaling homes and
temples of the inhabitants all in varying styles.
The model splits in half in order to access other parts of the interior and market area. There are lots of rooms to explore including:
- Cooking and dining area
- Horse stables
- Armory
- Living quarters of the nobility
- Treasure room
- Philosopher's residence
- And more

This is a project I initially started a year ago. It was my hope to continue in the medieval genre but shift focus to a different part of the world. Going into the design process, I wanted to create a great sense of scale by having the buildings rise above the wall fortifications. This proved to be a huge challenge in achieving the look I wanted while also staying within the piece limit. I'm so glad I was able to get it finished for this series and I hope you all like it!
Why not be the first?
