The Crooked Tower embodies the vision of a classic wizards tower that most adventures stumble across in many a fantasy Tale.
I have been designing quite a few different variants of this Fantasy theme and I have had a number of people suggest making one as a dice roller for D&D. Though the main purpose of the the tower is to roll dice down through the centre of the tower where the opening is obtained by removing the peak of the roof. I have also designed it so it is appealing as a display and also a fun build for those who are lovers of fantasy and castles.
I decided to design it Micro figure scale as it is meant to be a dice roller and that is its only play feature and was not planning to do minifigures, plus the scale work out better this way and kept the model to a reasonable size.
The main technique I used in this build, was to use an offset of 1 plate below and above one side of the pivot point on the slope to allow me to have a solid connection at both ends of the slope. This was curial in the design so as to create a solid strong build.
Why not be the first?
