This model is representative of luxury trains running across Europe in the later half of the 20th century.

At the front of the train is a streamlined electric locomotive measuring over 46 studs long. At each end there is a detailed driver's cab inside and a posable pantograph on the roof. The locomotive can easily be motorised with a 88009 Powered Up Hub and up to two 88011 Powered Up Train Motors.

Following behind are two large passenger cars each measuring over 52 studs long and featuring highly detailed interiors.

First up is the dome car with seating for fifteen passengers and a conductor across three levels. Lifting the roof sections reveals a private compartment at one end with space for two minifigures and a lounge area at the other end with a couch that seats three minifigures and a table. In the centre is the observation dome which hinges open for access. Inside the dome there are seats for ten minifigures and stairs at each end link all three passenger areas together. The dome lifts off and underneath there is space to store passengers' luggage and a chair and desk for the train's conductor. Stairs at one end allow the conductor to access the rest of the train to check tickets. The dome car has four opening doors to allow passengers to board and two wide sets of double doors on the lower level for loading and unloading luggage.

Bringing up the rear is the restaurant car. Lifting the roof reveals seating for twelve diners at six tables. At one end there is a detailed kitchen with a removable wall panel for easier access. There are two opening doors and a pantograph is mounted on the roof which allows the kitchen to remain powered while the train is parked at a platform or on a siding without a locomotive.

When coupled together the entire train measures over 125cm/49 inches long and is capable of operating on R40 curved track. Ten sections of straight track are included for display.

Includes ten minifigures: A driver, conductor, chef and seven passengers.
