Welcome to "Crystal Keep", a magical MOC that invites you to explore the hidden depths of a fantastical cave and enchanting buildings.

Crystal Cave

Beneath the surface lies the heart of "Crystal Keep," the Crystal Cave. Here, four industrious dwarves mine crystals and rare gemstones. These treasures, carefully harvested, are then brought to the Wizard’s Tower, where a skilled wizard enchants and shapes them into powerful magical artifacts. The cave also features a hidden gate at the rear, leading to the outside world, and a secret chute that, when opened, releases a cascade of glittering gemstones.

Dwarf House

Above the cave, the dwarves retreat to their cozy home, the "Dwarf House." This sturdy structure is where they live, eat and sleep. Designed for comfort and functionality, the house is connected underground to the Crystal Cave.

Wizard's Tower

Adjacent to the Dwarf House stands the grand Wizard’s Tower, home to the powerful enchanter. On the first floor, you’ll find the wizard’s workshop, brimming with arcane tools and mystical apparatus for crafting enchanted gemstones. This round tower serves as the central hub for imbuing the mined crystals with their magical properties.

Trade and Kingdom Connections

By day, a knight from the Lion Knights visits the keep, bringing gold from the king in exchange for the enchanted gemstones. These treasures are highly sought after by the kingdom, making "Crystal Keep" a critical part of their magical supply chain.

Designer’s Thoughts

"Crystal Keep" was inspired by the allure of underground mining and magical craftsmanship. I wanted to create a detailed and immersive MOC that seamlessly combines functionality and storytelling. From the hidden secrets of the Crystal Cave to the towering Wizard’s workshop, every element is designed for playability and wonder. In my opinion, the highlights in terms of construction techniques are the round tower and the roofs of the two buildings, with special attention given to creating a realistic representation of the roof structure.
