THE HISTORY
Forgotten by men, forgotten by gods, forgotten in time...the strike of the imperial armada was fierce...two survivors…are there more? We may never know...The sea was very generous...it washed away the captain's precious library, a few bottles of rum and plenty of timber...Though in the middle of nowhere the islands seem to give... they give drinking water from primeval springs and abundant fruit... and somewhere in the sand a map…these islands can still offer...could that be true?
Captain's log
Day 90:
All this time under our feet...at last we've unloaded all the gold the raft can hold. Tomorrow we set sail. Nothing's over...
DESCRIPTION
The set consists of the two islands, the hanging bridge (which can be easily detached to create two independent islands) and the wooden pirate raft. On the eastern island a ruined ancient sanctuary in which the sacred fire still burns. Stone steps lead to the upper part of the rock which is easily detached for more convenient access to the lower part. In the lower inner section there is a secret rotating rock that covers the secret cave in which the gold is kept. Behind it dominates the first primordial spring in the form of a statue-god. Located at the front is the wooden hut (with the captain's library and books, supplies, rum and a bed made of tropical plants). On the western island stands the second primeval spring as well as a large rock. The two sides of the island communicate through a cave in which some ancient symbols can still be seen. In front there is timber washed away by the sea while at the back a staircase leads to the upper part of the rock. Next to it rises the makeshift mast with the watchtower on top. In addition to the two figures, various small animals are included (monkey, parrot, birds, crab, fishes and a mouse).
THE INSPIRATION
The reason for this project was my endless hours of playing as a child with all those aesthetically unsurpassed classic lego pirate sets from almost four decades ago. As a kid I loved all these pirate theme builds and ships as well as the islanders theme that followed. Now as an adult, i wanted to present something that stemmed from all that atmosphere of my childhood. The result of my efforts is "forgotten islands". I really hope you like it!
Thank you!
