Introduction
« Dear Tom and Oria, my dear niece and nephew,
I am writing to you to share a strange phenomenon that is currently
occurring in my manor. It all began a few weeks ago with simple
footsteps echoing in the empty hallways, barely audible whispers, and
doors closing on their own. At first, I thought it was just the wood
settling or perhaps the wind. But soon, these manifestations grew
more intense: lights began to flicker, and strange shadows appeared on
the wall.
But that is not all. In the past days, objects started to move on their own and no later than yesterday, I saw a chandelier slowly slide from one end of the table to the other without any explanation. It seems to me that paintings are changing place in the room and I also sometimes hear indistinct voices echoing through the house, as if the walls themselves were whispering forgotten secrets. I must admit I'm getting worried about all these phenomena. That is why I am turning to you, my dear niece and nephew to help me resolve the mystery of this haunted manor. I need your help to investigate and discover what lies behind these unsettling manifestations.
I'm waiting for you to come and hope your presence will bring answers to these enigmas.
With all my affection,
Dr. Brickwood »
Presentation
I'm pleased to share with you my latest creation for the Bricklink Designer Program Series 5: "The Mysterious Mansion", an old manor with 3,242 pieces, filled with unexpected mysteries. The model can be divided into six sections to access the interior.
The lower section consists of a rocky mountain with a spooky basement built inside, containing a multitude of strange objects. This cellar is only accessible by turning a crank to open a secret trap door. The second section is the first floor of the mansion with its large entrance, a small vestibule, and a living room with a grand piano. A wooden staircase leads to the third section (second floor). Here, you will find the dining room as well as a reading room with a large library. A ladder allows access to the attic (fourth section) with a small bedroom and the laboratory of Dr. Brickwood where he conducts his experiments. The roof can be split up in two (sections five and six) and has a built-in telescope for stargazing.
I had a lot of pleasure designing this spooky mansion and I hope you
enjoy my creation! Feel free to support and share this idea with your
friends and family!
