Empire Station is an Art Deco inspired transit hub for a
modular-compatible elevated rail system.
The building uses the typical modular footprint as the basis for
its timeless Art Deco architecture. Curves and arches abound over four
levels, tied together by a working elevator to provide quick access to
the boarding platform – perfect for the Minifigure running slightly
behind schedule!
The first (ground) level provides street access to the station
and a courtyard with plants and a complementary water feature.
Travellers entering through the main double doors are greeted by the
grand water fountain cascading down the internal façade, leading to
the tourist information centre and gift shop.
The second level is home to the convenience store where
travellers can pick up essential items on the way home from work.
Shelves filled with ample produce line the walls and the helpful clerk
will quickly pour a coffee for those in a hurry.
The third level is the main station. There is plenty of seating
for weary travellers as they plan their next stop and purchase the
correct tickets from the ticket machines. But if mistakes are made,
the Empire Station staff are on hand to get things moving again.
The fourth level hides two rooftop gardens and an access hall.
The gardens are an appealing escape from the buzz of the station and
give visitors a fantastic view of Modular City. Grab a snack from the
convenience store and make your way up to the covered seating for a
quick break.
The Empire Station train is also Art Deco inspired and
comfortably seats all 13 Minifigures. It is carefully designed to
navigate the tight curves of the elevated railway, allowing it to
follow the twists and turns of Modular City. The railway support
columns have removable baseplates, so they can be placed directly onto
the walkways of neighbouring modular buildings.
Bring your modular city to life with the Empire Station elevated railway!
