Greetings to all LEGO Pirate enthusiasts and beyond! I come bearing exciting news—I've crafted a brand-new fortress complete with a majestic lighthouse, tailored for our esteemed navy fleet, aptly named "Seagull Bay."
This endeavor has long been a dream of mine, inspired by the iconic LEGO pirate series of 1989. My collection boasts pieces dating back to 1989, '90, '91, and onward, serving as a cherished vessel of nostalgia for the whimsical voyages of my youth. Consequently, I've embarked on a creative journey to pay homage to the beloved Imperial Soldier set.
The core concept behind this creation revolves around a bay adorned with a four-tiered fortress. Commencing at the lowest level, a wooden pier, adorned with a substantial boat crane, extends towards the fortress via a picturesque bridge. An ornate gateway, featuring unique embellishments, awaits those who pass through, concealing a well adorned with coins, from which water cascades into the sea. Adjacent to this, you'll discover a cargo and gold repository, which ingeniously doubles as a functional drawer.
As you ascend the staircase, the main edifice unfolds into three levels, each with its own surprises. The ground level serves as the dungeon, harboring two chambers—a spacious one and a smaller one. In the latter, a cunning pirate has excavated an escape route using a mere spoon, awaiting the arrival of a fellow spy pirate in a boat.
Moving up to the first floor, you'll find the headquarters, featuring a dining table adorned with drapes, a smaller table hosting treasure maps and a compass, and an exquisite chandelier crafted from a ship's steering wheel. A charming balcony graces this level, offering picturesque views of the bay.
The second floor is home to a lookout tower armed with a cannon, as well as a small storage area dedicated to swords.
Crossing the stone bridge on the opposite side, you'll reach the grand lighthouse. The first floor houses wine depots, while the upper floors serve as storehouses for provisions. Hidden amidst the rocky base lies a precious treasure, a small elevator and a crane stands ready to facilitate the movement of goods to and from small boats.
To top it all off, this LEGO set can be disassembled into modular components, allowing for endless transformations and alterations to the building's form.
In summary, "Seagull Bay" is a testament to my passion for LEGO and the imaginative adventures it has sparked throughout my life, paying homage to the timeless allure of the 1989 LEGO pirate series.
The set has: 2 pirates a spy dealer and a captain captive. 4 soldiers, one officer, one Commander, Commander’s daughter and one trained soldier! And finally a sailor intended for work!
