Inspired by the many vintage yellow taxis of the era, I present my Hot Rod Space Taxi. Featuring a nearly-studless design, this model includes a detailed interior, a removable roof and opening hood that showcases a brick-built (and removable) engine, all displayed on a simple-yet-elegant display stand that simulates the taxi in 'hover mode'.
This design uses a total of 729 parts and measures 10" x 4" x 4.4". The interior is perfectly suited to holding two mini-figures - a driver and passenger, including space for a suitcase behind the rear seat.
Overall, this design was a challenge given the limited part and color palette of the Series 4 program, and while no stickers were designed for this submission, there is space aplenty - a taxi sign on the roof, interior flight controls, fare information on the 'doors' and car ID badges on the 'fenders' are all open and available for final design improvements.
