All aboard! It’s time to board the luxurious Northern Ambassador Limited! Although perhaps not as well-known as certain famous trains, the Ambassador is nonetheless prepared to provide the most elegant atmosphere as it steams between Amberton and Haverbrook, Stormgarden and Goldendale. The businessman has just boarded for his daily commute, trusty breakfast waffle in hand, while the writer is enjoying the scenery and riding to gain inspiration for her new mystery novel set on a train. In the Dining Car, the chef is whipping up a fantastic lunch, and the conductor is making sure everything is spic and span on the train in preparation for the journey. What other adventures can be had aboard?

This 2,272 piece model is full of details and surprises:

The Ambassador features a large engine, tender, passenger coach, and dining car. This train isn’t directly inspired or copied from any real life train, so there may not be entirely correct parts to the train, and it may not have any real-world counterparts. (I know there are many differences between parts on different types of trains, and countries, and all, and I am definitely not mechanically minded. So it may be missing a piffle valve or two or something like that, I apologize in advance!).

The passenger car can be modified with extra pieces into a sleeping coach, for people wishing to convert it to an overnight service. The current iteration is perfect for morning/afternoon services and trips of several hours.

6 Minifigures included. The Engineer, Conductor, and Chef keep the operations on the train running smoothly. Along for the ride are three passengers! One is on his way to an important meeting, a second is on the way to the mountains for a trip, and the third is a writer getting inspiration for a new train-based mystery novel!

This train can be modified with batteries and power, and runs on standard tracks. The coaches can be interchanged with other engines. As a side note, the coaches are heavier than most standard coaches, so an extra tender or extra power in the engine is helpful for those looking to motorize it.

The passenger coach is fully equipped with four plush seats, adequate ventilation, carved wood ornamentation, and glass dividers between compartments, that can be left in for display or removed for easy playability. The upper siding and windows can also be removed for ease of access.

The dining car is similarly equipped with four seats, as well as a range oven and kitchen space for the on-board chef. There is also a narrow balcony at the very end of the train. The chef can whip up any sort of delicious food for the passengers. You may even see a floating vegetable or two, especially during the loading of the cargo!

This model is a modified version of a previous build that I had created many years ago, which had been a blue train. I wanted to make the coaches even more elegant, and I was very pleased with how well they turned out. The engine/tender were not much modified from the first build. Thank you for your consideration in the voting process! :)
