Story
This is a typical mid-19th century (1850s) wagon that was used to offer and delivery supplies to people living on the frontier. When traveling as part of a wagon train they were colloquially know as a chuck wagon. This set fits perfectly with Colonial British/French America, American Frontier and Old West period settings.
About
This began as part of a larger design which involved another mid-19th century idea (see Oregon Cabin in BDPS3). But after some consideration I figured this set could stand well on it's own. I did a lot of research on this to come up with what you see here.
This set is designed to comply with the BDPS3 and BDPS4 palettes and consists of 411 pieces. The wagon is 6 studs wide and 12 suds deep and with it's horses it sits securely on a 16 x 32 baseplate. The details include a hand brake, rear wheel brakes, a grease bucket, jockey and chuck boxes, horses reins and traces and an assortment of tools. Not to mention the supplies carried in the wagon itself which for the period would have included salt pork, hardtack, flour, sugar and of course ... coffee. Lastly, the 152 step instructions have been completely tested as you can see in the final image.
