Peach blossom branches surround gardenia flowers in three different colors and sizes. Accented by yellow Japanese mimosa flowers, this striking model is a wonderful display piece.
This beautiful and intricate design is inspired by ikebana (ick-ay-bah-nah), the Japanese art of flower arrangement. Unlike more Western styles of arrangement, ikebana emphasizes the use of lines and empty space to evoke emotions through asymmetry. The centuries-old practice takes careful consideration of space and balance to create harmonious compositions. As you assemble this model, you'll gain an appreciation for the art. I applied some of its principles to LEGO® flowers, hence the "Brickebana" portion of this model's name (brick-ay-bah-nah).
