The 520 piece monorail was inspired by the proposed Mecca monorail, where a central pillar supports two single tracks for travel by train carriages in opposite directions. The monorail is able to travel around standard corner train tracks, so the track can be extended into a closed loop with one monorail travelling in the inner track and a 2nd purchased monorail in the outer track.
The bottom deck is for passengers, with each of the 3 carriages carrying up to 3 passengers plus a driver's cabin at either end, with entry through the opening blue windows on either side. The top deck carries white cargo containers, where the contents can be replaced in the future with large motors to drive the top train wheels through the supplied gearing, with power from replacing one of the carriages with a battery box.
The suspended train station with 321 parts is designed to span water in order to avoid using land to build the station. There is an upper platform for loading and unloading cargo with the weight supported by the central pillars and yellow girders, while the lower platform for passengers is supported from underneath with axles to the central pillars allowing the stairs to take no weight and give the impression of floating platforms.
