Meet Ole. Ole is a joiner from the Lion Knights' kingdom, he lives in a village with his wife Kristin and has a workshop where he makes and sells furniture. They both live in the house above the workshop.

Ole got famous in the kingdom, not only for his excellent furniture, but also for a genius idea he had : using his wood leftovers to make small toys, that he makes after work, at his desk in his home. His most notable invention is a system of small blocks of wood that can be easily assembled and disassembled by children, and his system is so popular that today, the Prince and the Princess (accompanied by a knight) are coming in person to pick their new toys, namely a big castle building set and knights figures ! The model also contains a minifig of a villager who's coming to buy new furniture.

This is my third medieval build after the horse stable and the stone bridge, and also the biggest and most ambitious. I really wanted to build the best medieval build as possible, so I've decided to build a half-timbered house, which I think looks good and is interesting to build. I wanted to make the four sides of the building interesting to look at, and I think I succeeded ! The build is made of several modules, so the interior can be easily accessed to see the varied furniture that has been made by Ole. I've had a lot of fun coming up with these designs, and creating interesting architectural details for the house, such as the half-timber, the pergola, the little gardens, the balcony, the oriel window, or the various sections of the roof. In the end I think I've made a beautiful and lively model.

I also like when a model tells a story, and I thought it could be a fun easter-egg to have a character who's based on Ole Kirk Chistiansen, the founder of Lego.

I hope people will like this model, and like it enough to want it for their medieval village, or even as a stand-alone build.
