Background story
The watchtower stands on the frontier of the kingdom. In the middle of a rough terrain, with the nearest town miles away, the tower crew protects the realm. The commander, a veteran of dozens of battles, leads the crew with his experience.
The crew is supported by two rangers who move unseen and watch the enemy lines. In case of an attack, the beacon is lit to warn the kingdom.
Model design
When building the model, I tried to give the tower an organic look and depth. I also wanted to build a model that would work as a stand-alone piece, but could also be incorporated into larger dioramas.
It consists of 4 floors and the battlement. The building is modular and all floors can be removed.
In the entrance area there is a weapons rack and supplies. Then follows the crew room with bunk bed and bench.
Above this, the commander has his quarters. Next to his comfortable bed is his desk, where he plans the missions. On the last floor is the dining room. A small room where guests can be received and the crew can dine well. At the back of the tower is an archery range and a practice dummy.
About the designer
I am Jan, a 28-year-old student from Germany. In my childhood, my brother and I spent hours and hours building castles. I loved being in the Lego world and forgetting everything around me.
A few years ago, I rediscovered my passion for Lego. I love creating worlds with a fantasy or medieval theme. I hope you like my submission and I appreciate any support.
