At the edge of a forest next to a river lies a magical place. A myth between explorers of the outlands. A building that's home for those who seek magic and knowledge. Surrounded by nature the tower houses everything a magician can wish for. It's home to grand wizards, who are constantly searching for worthy apprentices. They join forces to defend the medieval lands from dark powers.
The model consists of 1986 parts and is suiting the wizard theme. The back walls are removable and the floors are therefore easy to reach. The tower is modular and consists of 7 rooms:
The building is surrounded by trees, flowers, pumpkins, and mushrooms–the ingredients wizards need for brewing potions. Besides that various animals roam through the nature. The bridge crossing the azure river is decorated with ornaments. The signpost next to the river leads the way to the next castle. The set also includes six minifigures: two wizards, two wizard apprentices, an evil wizard and a forestman.
The following areas I enjoyed building the most and therefore I'm spotlighting them here. I layered plates to create the natural river shape. I used a turntable and several wedge plates to archieve a stable 45 degree angle of the tower. Despite the rock accommodating that, I still kept most of the rock hollow for the dungeon. I also created v-shaped steps leading to the entrance. Additionally I offset round tiles on the roof and used a mudguard for the star ornament. The first floor uses tiles and several stacked brackets on the outside for stability. There are several more interesting techniques you might like in this build. Please let me know which you like the most!
I recently looked at several classic sets. I remembered one of my first sets including a blue wizard and started searching for similar castle sets. The wizard in these sets is called Majisto. He appeared in several sets throughout the years. He even made a return in 2022. He is a staple of the castle theme and therefore deserved a home upgrade. This project gives him that. It finally gives him a home again. It also includes several eastereggs referring to classic wizard sets.
I hope you like this model. Feel free to ask me for more pictures. I greatly appreciate everyone sharing this design with fellow Lego enthusiasts!
