“The Motherland Monument (Батьківщина-Мати)” is a monumental statue in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine.
Completed in 1981 it is the tallest steel statue in Europe.
The structure is part of the “National museum of the history of Ukraine in the second world war”. The monument with the pedestal, object of this work, is 94 meters (309 feet) tall.
The total height of the complex is 102 meters (335 feet), the mere statue is 62 meters (203 feet) tall. The sword is 16 meters (52 feet) long and the shield, you can reach its viewing platform on the rear, is 13 by 8 meters (43 by 26 feet).
