Welcome to the Medieval Stonemasons Guild. The set features traveling stonemasons busy at work building an impressive medieval building. Over the last two years I have designed multiple medieval village MOCS, this set is inspired by those MOCS, a love of the Middle Ages and medieval art, and all things Castle. The concept of stonemasons building an inspiring medieval structure lends itself perfectly to LEGO bricks and has not yet been represented in any existing sets.

The "construction-site" setting allows for multiple different objects without requiring a massive number of bricks to

"complete" the structure. There is a huge pillar, an arched hallway under construction, a stained-glass window, all creating a feeling of vast scale, typical of large medieval buildings. There are also many small details like decorative pillars, an in-process sculpture, masons' tools and a model of the whole construction-site. Scaffolding encircles the construction-site, providing a brown contrast against the white "stone" bricks, and also creating the "under-construction" feel.

Two working pulleys complement the set. They allow builders to play as they build. Fans could display this build on its own or in a larger medieval village. Additionally, because of the "under-construction" feel, building-on to this set would stir creativity in any builder.

Studs-on-the-side building techniques are used to build the pillars and stained-glass window. The results are effective, while being approachable to a wide variety of builders. The wheelbarrow is a unique addition, I'm particularly fond of how it turned out. The stonemasons' cart is colored blue, both to add some color to the build, and also in reference to 1992's Wolfpack Renegades.

There are four minifigures included: a master mason (with a long white beard), two journeymen, and a young apprentice (forced to climb the scaffolding). There are 1629 parts total.
