Greetings to everyone! The Chalet did it! The Crowdfunding result was so fast that I couldn't believe it! I honestly did not expect such a massive reaction.

You have believed a lot in me and in my work and once again we have seen how much the theme of the Winter Village is loved.

Thanks to all of you my dream has come true! When I was just a 7-year-old boy, I never imagined that The LEGO Group would one day produce a set designed by me.

A wish that came true and that has made me feel incredible emotions.

I believed a lot in this project, I put all my love for the mountains, the snow and the atmosphere of Christmas holidays in it.

I want to thank all my friends, the Italian AFOLs and the AFOLs from all over the world who have been following me for a long time and all those who considered my work interesting.

I also want to thank all the Bricklink staff who are a very special team who have always made me feel part of a big family and who have been very helpful towards me.

Working together was great. I can't wait for each of you to receive your own set at home and to know that all over the world there will be many people who will have fun building my Chalet.

This is all wonderful! Thanks from the bottom of my heart

Your SDRnet

This work was created for my winter village 8 years ago. After joining the LEGO Ideas program, it reached 10,000 votes but was not chosen as an official set. But now there is a new chance to see it actually created!

The building is a typical mountain chalet consisting of a restaurant on the ground floor, which is accessed from the main door, and also offers guest bedrooms on the upper floor accessible by the wooden staircase in the front.

The chalet has detailed interiors: the restaurant has tables set with tablecloths, plates, glasses and candles to create the right atmosphere. We also find the classic roaring fire, a Christmas tree, and on the right side, there is a corner with a phone, coffee machine and a small sink.

Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms: one single, one with a double bed and two separate beds in the attic. On the same floor, there is also a small bathroom with shower, sink and toilet.

The building is rustic with stone walls, wooden beams between floors, a snow-covered pitched roof, two-tone parquet floors in the rooms and stone in the restaurant floor.

This work contains the magical Christmas and mountain atmosphere.

The MOC may undergo some minor changes during the final process. Stay up to date and if you like it, now you can make it a reality!

My observatory order switched to "in process" after it was previously "in warehouse", which was somewhat disconcerting, but it did go back to "in warehouse" yesterday, and my winter chalet was delivered yesterday! @CrookCollects these were only available for pre-order last May, and all 5 designs for this round sold out in the first day.

@Appys1015 I doubt. unfortunately these were only 1 qty per person and it is almost a year till buyers will get these sets from the date of purchase. so I can’t imagine somebody will sell them. Are you trying to buy for retail price?

To all people complaining that it was impossible to preorder; There was plenty of time to preorder a set, my friend even made an bricklink account for himself and had some buying problems, but he was still 1 of the first 2500 buyers.

Note: not all folks models are published with their Studio.IO file. So the downloadable instructions may be the only option.

7a. Within the Studio program with the build file open you can click on the "model" drop menu and click on model info this gives you a list of bricks and piece count of each brick for ordering, much easier than counting them on the instructions from normal step 6 above. 7b. You can then download the instructions on Studio 2.0 directly which allows you to interact with the build instructions instead of just view them as in step 6. Sometimes designers don't leave the full instructions in their final Build file on Brick link Studio. If they don't' you can still get the piece count and list here but will have to use the downloadable instructions from step 6.

5.Click on a build you like (i chose the "leconte Typewriter Co" modular city build" for my test 6. then click on building steps once on the builds page. (this will give you the building instructions step by step as designed by the person who made the set) 6a (alt step). Alternatively to step six, you can download their Studio 2.0 Build file and open it on your computer on the free to use Studio 2.0 (great software once you learn how to use it)

Alright Electric, I think i found a quick way for you narrow down the search. 1. Get on bricklink.com and log into your account. 2. click on the red "Studio" button up top 3. Once on that page type "modular" in the search bar for designs (not the main brick link search bar, but the one just within the Studio page) 4. this narrows it down to mostly modular builds which you are after and I see lots of building in there as i scroll down in the first 20 or so entries

Ck, thanks for the info. I guess I need to locate all the bricks myself and not already a set? How do I see the available sets or instructions or however it works. Would you refer me to where I can get an overview how this all works. I have a genuine interest in all this and do appreciate what is going on. I hadn't heard the word moc sets until 2 weeks ago. I actually was logged in and all 5 were still available but decided to come back when I had some time to look at stuff closer.

Electric Jungle, there are many talented designers publishing here on bricklinek studio 2.0 you can find those city type modular sets and do pick a brick like they did to make them. Should give you lots of moc options.

You know....I think I've been looking at this all wrong why did they let so many of their fans down. I think when you look at their inventory and history, modular buildings were an aberration. They have come out with one a year since 2007 and aren't showing any signs of developing that market. My guess is the profit margin is much lower than everything else. The designing and detail and materials and labor. This was a MOC site project in the first place. What should I expect? This whole disappointing event has got me looking at all the detailed interesting MOC sets on Amazon and Ebay. I'd rather buy from Lego but they don't have much to choose from. I think I'm expecting too much from them. They don't want to get into the kind of sets I'm looking for.

Ck, I just like working them. Maybe because I liked them as a kid and my parents couldn't afford it. I've given many as gifts to family members at Christmas. I got into them last year after buying a set as a present and ended up working it myself. I'm not a young person and really like the modular buildings. My wife liked the Winter Chalet. So did I. And the Observatory.
