| I goofed up one of my 1st sales earlier this year, full refunded the buyer +
paid for additiona expenses they incured. Since then, I've completed like
25 sales with close attention to not repeat mistakes. All of tracking shows arrived
(weeks ago) without complaints, but I've only recieved feedback from (i think)
two buyers... It's making it hard recover reputation from my bad start.
Does everybody else have obsurdly poor rates at getting buyers to leave feedback
at all? Should I request feedback via Email maybe?

You shouldn't request anything; it's optional and you may get even worse,
a non positive one for hassle
I don't have stats on hands, but 50% leaving feedback or less is "normal"
nowadays.
Personnaly I leave maybe 1% of them on Amazon or eBay for instance.
If you've VERY VERY few, that could also be people not really happy though,
but not enough to be a pain (non positive).

You just have to let it happen naturally. As a buyer I do try to leave feedback
for all my sellers but sometimes I do forget and don't check my order page.
As long as you are providing great service it'll come you just have be patient.

its normal and nothing to worry about as its fully optional and many buyers want
to buy lego and not worry about anything else. if you message buyers asking for
feedback that will likely end up with you getting neutral/negative feedback as
buyers usually dont want to be asked to do things.

You've had 21 orders but have left feedback for only five of these. Maybe
consider setting the example for your buyers by leaving feedback instead of waiting
for them to leave it?
Speaking only for myself, as a buyer I won't leave feedback until the seller
leaves it for me.

I completely agree with Peregrinator. It's up to you also to leave feedback
on buying/selling-transactions.
And if something goes wrong, don't give a neutral/negative feedback right
away... take a deep breath... let a few hours/days go by... then reconsider if
it's worth it to express a neutral/negative feedback. Personally, if I place
a 1000 brick-order, I don't mind if 3 bricks are missing, if a brick came
in the wrong colour, ... etc. As a seller, however, I try to avoid these mistakes.
But in the end, we're all human (at least, I hope...).

If your feedback received at less then 50%, you should look for reasons.
Are your buyers low-feedback new members? or experienced BrickLinkers? You can
check what feedback your buyers are leaving for others. If they are leaving positive
responses for other sellers and not you, that is saying something.
Are you doing the good things that other sellers do? Checking accuracy? Shipping
promptly? Packing carefully? Providing tracking info without being asked?
Your shipping costs and fees are very high. I would not purchase from you for
$8.69. My lowest shipping cost is just $5. (It should be $5.50 with recent postage
changes but I haven't fixed it yet.)
You should leave positive feedback for all your buyers as soon as they pay for
their order or at least when you ship. That is all they are required to do for
any transaction. Opinions differ on this but wouldn't you rather be nice
first??
Don't contact your buyers for feedback or to change their Order Status. I
include a business card sized note in each order thanking them and encouraging
communication and feedback if it is deserved.
Good luck,
~Jen
