| A few things I've noticed in the first 30 minutes of using the new header.
Forum Access
The new header has no direct link to the Discussion Forum main page. To access
it you have to go through the community tab select the drop down for general
discussion. Please put a direct link back in the header!
Notifications for Store
When the new header switched over I had a small circle with a 12 appear over
my store icon. Ten of these were for quotes that were over a year old. The other
two are for a recently canceled order and an order that I shipped on Friday.
Personally I only want an icon appearing when I have a new order or quote request.
On a similar subject I don't need an icon telling me how many shopping carts
I have open.
Just my two cents.

Er, just to be clear, that’s not new.
|
On that point you are correct but with the new header it is larger and harder
to ignore. I added it hoping that a fix on the home/store issue might lead to
a change on this.

In truth I think I would go as far as saying that I'd rather only see one
main forum related link in the dropdown that simply takes you to the main forum
page where you conduct all forum related stuff from there but maybe that's
just me?
At least that way what appears in the dropdown is condensed and can ideally appear
directly under the 'Community'; drop down so you only have to scroll down
to select options instead of right the way across the screen.

The main 'Discussion Forum' link is not an obvious enough place to click
to view all discussions and therefore there really ought to be a link called
'All Discussions' so that its much more clear for people

I think one of the big drawbacks to the new menu is that you can't click
on the top level items. "Community" should just take you to the forum.
