| In case you don't know, a modal is a web page element that appears in front
of other page content (which is usually dimmed) and requires the user to interact
with it before they can return to the main content.
BrickLink uses modals everywhere! A couple of examples:
- When you click on the thumbnail image in a storefront, a modal pops up
- When you click on the image in a catalog listing, a modal pops up
Most website modals on the internet can be closed in any of 3 ways:
1. Clicking the "x" button (usually in the top right corner)
2. Pressing the "Esc" (Escape) key on the keyboard
3. Clicking on the dimmed background
BrickLink modals can only be closed using the first method, and it is incredibly
frustrating to me -- I have to hunt for that tiny "x" button dozens
of times in a typical browsing session.
Please make it possible to close BrickLink modals in one of the other two ways.
If you can only implement one, please make pressing "Esc" close the currently
active modal.

100% agreed! tho i think I've seen several modals that close when you click
out of them but between the many modals used it is not consistent throughout
bricklink so i 100% agree it would be amazing if all modals on bricklink could
be closed in those 3 standard ways

+1
There is at least one that can be closed with Enter - maybe Add to Wanted List?
But yeah, all of this needs to be fixed.

The old BrickLink pages do work correctly. (At least for me on Firefox.) Many
new BrickLink pages were poorly designed with the x as the only way to close.
It's annoying, I agree. They were told at the time, but what can you do?
They also failed on tab-able forms and drop down menus. There was a lot of standard
QOL webpage stuff that got overlooked.

+1 , though i have to say the greatest of suggestions dont seem to even get consideration.
There are many many open threads.
With the amounts of money circulating throuh with a billion dollar company as
an owner.
Development is way to slow..
