| Hi,
Until I get some problem with paypal sorted out, I have set up my store to have:
- only one "shipping" option which is "free local pickup", with
a domestic zone (USA)
- only one payment option, which is "cash"
When a buyer with a USA address visits my store, it shows a warning that I don't
ship to their location.
When a buyer tries to checkout, it asks for a shipping address at step 2, then
prevents them from going to the next step with the same warning that I don't
ship to that location.
The warning seems to be triggered by having both domestic and international checkboxes
unchecked for onsite payments. (Actually I am unable to get any other payment
method to show as an option in checkout if onsite is enabled.)

| That warning shows since you have no PayPal onsite or stripe as an active payment
option within the USA. Onsite is required for sales tax collection so it must
be enabled or buyers can’t order

Ah, thanks. Well, the warning is confusing because it does not actually have
to do with shipping. But worse, how do any other non-onsite-paypal-or-stripe
payments work? Are offsite payments now just a vestigial tail that will never
show up in checkout?
Is there any way to have a cash only, local pickup store anymore?

Only if you sell to one of the few states that dont have online sales tax laws
which is very few so in short no as bricklink is required by law to collect the
sales tax which they cannot do if the buyer pays with cash so payment can only
be made either by PayPal onsite or via stripe

Those payment methods, if enabled in your store, will show up for customers that
live a state or country that does not do sales tax through Bricklink.

For you in California, no. In general: yes, if you (a) live in an area that does
not require the BrickLink marketplace to handle the sales tax, or (b) live in
the EU and sell to members in EU.
