So, we have been parting out random sealed bags of LEGO. I've managed to
get my hands on some older Light Gray and Dark Gray, that were from older sets
2003. I was parting one this eve from a friend's set from 2012, #3315. The
set has Light Bluish Gray in it. However, some of the 2x2 plate and 1x2 tile
were clearly different from the LBG. So, I pulled a piece from the older Light
Gray, it a shade different but closer to LG than LBG. Would this have been possible
during that year?
2x6 is LG
Left 2x2 is the LBG and the Right 2x2 from same set as one on left.

So, best to list as LBG with comments of off color?

most likely.
I wouldn't worry too much about making a comment for it. It's par for
the course with that colour.

"This is the way"... that's what I'm thinking! One of my first
orders was a complaint of that, of course not knowing but expecting that everything
would look the same. Wouldn't want to cause unsatisfaction with our store.

There definitely would not have been any light gray in a set from 2012, only
light bluish gray. And there are definitely color variations there - additionally,
there are some LBG elements that have a hint of translucency, I guess because
not enough dye was added to the plastic.
