We have an order that has been paid but pending for 8 days now - longer than
a e-check usually takes to clear. When we contacted the seller, they checked
Paypal and saw that they'd be charged once I complete the order. There were
a couple other posts I found on the forum from this month with similar phrasing.
The buyer has over 400 feedback with 100% positive; between that, the fact that
they waited for us to point out the delay, and the other posts that seem similar,
I see no reason to think this is some sort of scam.

On my end, Paypal simply says "order received" and lists the buyer's name,
a transaction ID, and the amount. There is also a link to upgrade to a business
account. I'm wondering if Paypal expects me to "upgrade" before completing
that order? Any idea what other options I have? I have no interest in getting
a business account.

How would paypal know you completed the order on Bricklink? Or complete the order
somewhere else?

I'd see about getting in touch with PayPal - maybe there is somewhere in
PayPal you can mark the order as "shipped"? That is typically when funds would
be released on other internet marketplaces (shipped = "complete" from the standpoint
of the seller).

First off, no. You don't have to upgrade to a business account.

Second, your info here seems a bit inconsistent. If your order was paid with
an echeck, it will say so. I have never heard of any completing an order process
on Paypal. Can you give us some more specific info? Or a screen shot with the
personal details blacked out?
