I had a seller who gave me a negative review after I had given them one. They
had forgotten several items on my order, and even after emailing them they still
forgot items. I eventually, a month later, received a refund, however, I gave
them a negative review because the experience was rather sour. The seller e-mailed
me to remove the negative review I gave, however, I didn't as I would be
lying if I did. They then marked me negative in what I can only assume is some
sort of tit for tat. Is this a breach of rules? Or should I just let this
go? I have only good reviews from every other seller I have dealt with so it's
not like I have a track record of these.
Any advice would be appreciated, and if I was in the wrong please let me know.

I have two negative feedback reviews - both retaliatory. There's not much
you can do, other than reply to the review, stating your case. Anyone reading
the neg can see your response. I would add that you should "least favorite" that
store and move on.

It's not against the rules, but it's not great business.

If you leave a neutral or negative FB, you take the risk of receving a retaliatory
FB like you did. Perhaps the experience wasn't great for the seller too.
If you were refunded, a negative FB perhaps wasn't warrented. You can also
leave a positive FB but with criticizing, people often forget that.

This happens in most cases. Just move on and eventually put the store in 'least
favourite'. I got retaliate feedbacks too but don't care about them,
i didn't lie. Funny is that was put on blocklist after it. Would i open a
new order at store where i had bad experience?

Sadly I've been arguing this case for years....

Feedback should be used for reviewing sellers not buyers as how is a customer
expected to give an honest opinion when they are silenced by the fear of retalitory
feedback?

Rogue buyers can be reported and blocked and so there is no need to review them!

Nothing you can do, but don't worry about it. Retaliatory feedback like that
will hurt the seller more than it'll hurt you.

You weren't wrong. Review system is supposed to serve as a way to keep the
healthy
business environment so that neither seller nor buyer will go off the track and
once
someone doesn't play nice, review system is like to give some little revenge
but after all
, it is perfectly good and "right" to tell the world your real actual experience
so that
they will be careful in the future. You shouldn't delete the negative review
unless
the seller responds positively to your request.
