We're attempting to issue a partial refund and there seems to be a bug which
is preventing us.

Any ideas?

Often it's related to the length/certain characters in the notes. The more
brief/less special characters, the more likely it seems to work from reports
from others.

Make sure the refund did not process on PayPal before you try again. I did not
earlier and refunded an order six times. If the refund did go through, it is
a bug that has been there for at least six months.

It Happens To Me Almost Every Single Time I Try. I Often End Up Refunding Directly
On Paypal And Then Updating It Here By Clicking On The Refund Button After I've
Sent It.

I had this same bug several months ago too. Sent a request through the help center
but of course never got a response. I ended up just issuing diirectly though
PayPal. Only issue with that is you also end up refunding the taxes that Bricklink
collected. So I guess BL keeps the taxes this way. The bug needs to be fixed.

After checking PayPal if it did go through, try it again without the # (number
sign/octothorpe) and + (plus sign).

I recall that it is actually a PayPal issue with non-alphanumeric characters
in their comment field.
