Hi everyone, I hope you're having a nice week.

I have a set,

Set No: 6271 Name: Imperial Flagship
*
6271-1 (Inv) Imperial Flagship
295 Parts, 4 Minifigures, 1992
Sets: Pirates: Pirates I: Imperial Guards
, and I'm looking to sell it here on BrickLink. The
set is missing some pieces, mostly quite small. I haven't really sold any
used sets before so I was hoping for some advice.
So far I've managed to replace about half of the missing pieces with used
pieces from my own collection from a similar time period as the set. Some of
the pieces I have in my store as new pieces, but I think it's wrong to put
these in the set as they are much more recent than this set so will look out
of place.

Secondly I was wondering if it's even worth buying the pieces, should I maybe
sell it as an incomplete set? The three most notable missing pieces are

Part No: 4502c Name: Minifigure, Plume Feather Large
*
4502c Minifigure, Plume Feather Large
Parts: Minifigure, Headgear Accessory
,

Part No: 4502b Name: Minifigure, Plume Feather Triple
*
4502b Minifigure, Plume Feather Triple
Parts: Minifigure, Headgear Accessory
and

Part No: 2529  Name: Pane for Window 1 x 2 x 3 Lattice
*
2529 Pane for Window 1 x 2 x 3 Lattice
Parts: Window, Glass & Shutter
however there are no UK sellers who have more than one
of these in their inventory. I.e. I'd either have to buy from abroad, which
will likely be very expensive, or buy one piece from three different sellers
and have three different postage costs, which again will be expensive. Should
I just knock the price of the set down to account for this.

Any advice is very much appreciated, Stan.

I believe you only need a white triple plume for this set to be considered complete.
Check the instructions, but if they aren’t shown as being used, they are not
required.

Overall though, probably easiest to just sell as incomplete and note all missing
pieces .

That's great, thanks. I wondered why two of the plumes are listed in the
BL parts but aren't even noted in the instructions.

Will consider this, thanks.

Take a look here

I'd make sure your potential buyers know they are not getting everything
in the inventory, especially if they are expensive plumes or feathers.
