This element could not be version described as "squared pin hole" because:
1. In instruction step 44 there is inserting 3,2mm stick into the hole in pin so this must be a version with thin pin walls.
2. This part with squared pin holes was manufactured around year 2000 (refer to: https://rebrickable.com/parts/6628/technic-pin-with-friction-ridges-lengthwise-and-towball/) (I think putting photo of version with squared pin hole and thick walls into part 66906 could be some mistake)

The element ID for this part is 6254216 and is the same as in sets 42110 and 42098 (refer to bricklist on instructions).

The squared pin hole is a new mold design just released in 2020 with Design ID
66906, and it has appeared in a few sets. This set was verified from a sealed
set to contain the newest mold 66906. If you have not found the other variant
6628 in a sealed copy of the set, the inventory will remain as is for now. If
you have found the the other variant 6628 in a sealed copy of the set, then we
can add 6628 as an alternate.
