The clip
[4081b]
was first released in 1985 and stanchion
wwas first released in 1986 so this set was a release from 1986 or later.
In the photos, we can see the trans-red sprues, but not the trasn-yellow or trans-green.
I requested to add them for consistency. If not acceptable, feel free to reject
them.

| This set was first released in 1984 and was available till 1986. As far as I
know, it had three major production runs (one for each year). The 1986 versions
do have the thicker parts that replaced the thinner ones which is consistent
with 1986 releases. Sets 6951 and 6881 that have similar parts to 6971 also need
to be matched too if these changes are implemented.
FYI, as far as I know, all sets released during that period all came out with
round 1x1 plates on sprues. However I am not sure when Lego stopped using the
sprues as they were still using them way into the 90's sets. But this may
be different depending on where each sets production was.
