Please make changes to the following inventory:

Set No: 10179 Name: Millennium Falcon - UCS
*
10179-1 (Inv) Millennium Falcon - UCS
5174 Parts, 5 Minifigures, 1 Gear, 2007
Sets: Star Wars: Ultimate Collector Series: Star Wars Episode 4/5/6

* Change {32 to 34} Part Dark Bluish Gray {3068b Tile 2 x 2 with Groove to 3068B Tile 2 x 2 with Groove}

Comments from Submitter:
In the instructions (and in Peeron), the quantity of this part is not 32 but 34.

Count up the occurrences in the instructions itself. Sometimes mistakes are made
when compiling the parts list printed at the end, and from studying the change
log, this perhaps is the case here.

Agreed. Also, seeing as this is likely the #1 BrickLink'd set, I doubt there
would be such a basic error in its inventory after this many years.

I count 32. Anybody else want to try? Be sure to count the tiles on pages 86
and 215 twice since they are part of a double build.

Sorry for being away from this post for a (too) long time.

You're right and I should have count up from the instruction itself instead
of just looking at the inventory. Next time, i'll start by this.

I may close this post, don't I ?

The instructions don't always tell the whole story either - I've seen
plenty of mistakes. The best thing to do when you find a problem is to use all
the sources available to you. Don't forget to read the change log. That's
usually the first place I check.

No need to close this thread. The change requests are handled separately from
the Forum.

As a matter of interest, has anyone noticed something peculiar about the second
half of this request? Normally the system kicks back any request to change data
to the same data, hence the reason for posts like this:
http://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=946332

But because the submitter used an uppercase "B" in the new Item Number, the data
wasn't flagged as identical and the request was not blocked.

This reminds me of the Admin adjust inventory page (and it is also true of the
pending page every submitter has access to) - when the Item Type is changed,
it must always be in the upper case.

I don't remember what I really wrote (b lowercase or B uppercase) when filing
the request form. Do you want me to test something else or do the admin have
to fixe this ?

You can see the record just a few lines below - that's how I knew what happened.
Nothing that needs to be fixed, though. It's just one of those rare little
moments when we get a glimpse behind the scenes.
