other than billing/living address? I need this option.
Thanks,

BrickLink doesn't use those other addresses, so just using your shipping address
will work.
Be sure to contact the seller though- some people ship to your PayPal address,
which probably is your residency address.

What's wrong with someone just putting it in the order message?
I've used it myself a number of times, but only had it requested twice.
It wasn't a stumbling block either time.
For the amount of times it occurs and the ease of a work around, I don't think
this suggestion has much real value. I'd think that a great % of people would
never use it

Order messages can get overlooked, if it's official info then there's a record.
But the easy answer is to use your shipping address as your BL address.

|
You could have your BL address as your home address, and when you place the order
there is the option of shipping to BL address or a different address. If the
seller has the correct shipping address with the order and doesn't have to look
for a message with the address it would be much easier and harder to overlook.

Right, but why? BL doesn't need your home address.
Just the shipping address, so use that for your BL addy and all is good.
Although as stated elsewhere in the thread your PayPal address should match too.

Real example: If I were to make 2 purchases from a Canada and US seller I want
them shipped to my home (or normal address), and I make one purchase from a Netherlands
seller which I would want shipped to family in Germany because I will be there
anyways and can pick it up. Instead of having to change the address for each
order, then make sure you change it back so the next order goes to the right
place, you can have your normal address or the option to ship it somewhere else.
Also, does the address in the order summary change if the buyer were to change
their address while the order is pending, or does it always stay the same as
when the order was placed?

Well that's plausible.

If you click through BL to the order page, you'll get the current address.
Of course an email has the address that was current when it was sent.
I believe an address change by a member with an open order triggers an alert
email from the BL system, but I could be wrong.

Okay, so if they placed an order and changed their address afterwards for a different
order, which address should the first order be shipped to? Most people would
put in the notes the correct shipping address, but some people, probably newer
members, might just change the address and not notice that the address for all
their orders has been changed.

If I had an open order and the address changed, I'd contact the buyer.
But how likely is this? Why does the site need a feature for it?
Again, what about the PayPal address? BL can't do anything about PayPal policies.

If you're paying with Paypal, that service gives you the option of multiple shipping
addresses provided they're all in your country of billing. Many sellers here
will only ship to the Paypal address as there is no seller protection from chargebacks
when they ship to a different address, even if its your Bricklink address.

I voted yes.
Why? Well think BL is a bit slow on this... reason most online shops have the
choice to ship your items delivered to a few addresses you will or like.
You have the home address, most ways it's the same as the invoice address but
you have also a different delivery address like your work/business address.
I know there are some problems with some buyers and the protection for the seller
for delivery with Paypal etc...
