About Me Pages: About MarkHaanen (47)

Hi there!

When I was a child in the late 70s and early 80s, I was an avid Lego fanboy. My wish list for every birthday was Lego and More Lego. Most of my collection was Town and Trains, with several odd sets in between.

As one does, I saved it all for my kids... but they did not really enjoy playing with it. They did fancy some of their contemporary lines (Chima, Ninjago and Star Wars), and over the years amassed a sizeable amount. However, they always played more with (*gasp*) Playmobil, so their sets don't show much signs of play use.

After my divorce, I found a new girlfriend and moved in with her after several years. But space is limited, and based on the experiences with my own children I don't see the need to keep my collection together for posterity. Which is why I'm now selling it all off, using the proceeds to buy Architecture sets of places I visited. Because deep down I'm still a fanboy...
