| My apologies in advance if this is the incorrect board for this topic:
I just acquired this
And wanted to add it in my collection. However, it seems I can only add it in
flat gold. I'm wondering why orange, the first color it was released in,
isn't an option.

The collection feature doesn’t allow users to add parts that never appeared in
any sets. My guess is that this was a promotional item released in 2001 and 2003,
much like other Bionicle parts.
This is why we need dummy sets and/or features to be rolled out when they’re
actually complete. I’d recommend using Rebrickable for collections.

Thank you for the response. I find that interesting, but regardless I suppose
it's not too much of a problem.
